1. Update Windows Defender

  1. Right-click the Start menu and choose Windows Terminal (Admin). Make sure that it’s using PowerShell.
  2. Run the following command Get-AppPackage Microsoft.SecHealthUI
  3. Wait for the process to finish.

Once done, you’ll have the latest version of Windows Defender and the issue will be gone.

2. Modify the registry

  1. Press Windows key + X and select Windows Terminal (Admin).
     
  2. Run the following command: reg add HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa /v RunAsPPL /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f;reg add HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa /v RunAsPPLBoot /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f;
  3. Once the command is executed, restart your PC.

Once the registry is changed the Local Security Authority protection should appear again.
